Race to Pezula 2024 - Series 3

What an incredible two days it was at Pezula Golf Club, as players gathered for another exciting round of the Race to Pezula series. The event proved to be one of the most memorable so far, with fantastic golf, wonderful food, and a vibrant atmosphere that perfectly captured the spirit of South African hospitality.

The sponsors for this event, Carpet Discount House and Como Flooring, wanted every participant to experience a genuine “South African Welcome.” With this goal in mind, the Pezula team went above and beyond to ensure that both players and guests enjoyed a truly authentic local experience.

Leading the charge was Chantal and her dedicated team, who rose to the occasion by preparing an incredible selection of traditional South African favourites. From the moment players arrived, they were treated to a mouthwatering spread that celebrated the rich flavours of the country. The boerie rolls, vetkoek, and a hearty potjie provided the perfect fuel during the day, while the highlight of the culinary experience was undoubtedly the lamb spit braai, which brought everyone together for a truly memorable evening meal.

The food alone would have made the event special, but the organisers added another fun element for the second day of the competition. Players were encouraged to embrace a South African theme, decorating their golf carts or dressing up to showcase their love for the country. As expected, the creativity on display was impressive, with a wide variety of colourful decorations, themed outfits, and playful interpretations appearing around the course. The effort put in by the participants added an extra layer of fun and laughter to the event.

Throughout the two days, the course was filled with great energy as players enjoyed both the challenge of the Pezula Championship Golf Course and the warm hospitality that the club is known for. With its spectacular views over the Knysna coastline and its reputation as one of the most scenic courses along the Garden Route, Pezula provided the perfect setting for such a vibrant event.

By the end of the weekend, it was clear that this had been one of the most successful events in the Race to Pezula series to date. The strong turnout, enthusiastic participation, and positive feedback from players highlighted just how popular the series has become.
